Any chance Vandy gets NCAA probation? They're one of two schools in the SEC to have never been on football probation

I don't know what happened but do yall remember the guy that jut recently got released from prison? He was a big name recruit with a big name school scolarship. He was tagged with rape by this girl and he was senteced somewhere around 10 years. The girl sued the school for "letting it happen" and she was awarded $750,000. Seven and a half years later(after she spent all the money up) she told the people that she lied and she needs help and now she has 3-5 kids(can't remember) and living on government assistance.
She ruined this dude's whole career over a few fun years. Stories like that is why I will never take a woman's side unless there is overwhelming evidence against the accused.

quote:exactly. I know of a guy who was caught having an affair with a married woman, by the husband. She claimed rape to save face. He is still in prison after 30 years.

It helps to know she ran off with the police chief who was investigating the ordeal. He personally denied the alleged's parole until his death five years ago to cover for his New love.
The parole board uses the police chief's denial against him in all of his hearings since

no...that was the guy from Los Angeles. He just got signed by the Falcons in April. The kid from Georgia went to Pepperell High in Rome. Same school as Muschamp. He was charged with molestation, but the charges were later dropped to statutory rape. He's been in the NFL since 2008.

These athletes need to realize putting themselves in bad situations just isn't worth the risk. Ideally they should be treated like any other college student but right or wrong the fact is they just aren't.

Sorry, my bad! I remember the kid from Georgia, and how terrible that was.
And yes, college athletes should know better than to put themselves in bad situations. We lost one of our football captains, an all-conference running back, a few years ago. There was a girl known to enjoy football players, and she was his girlfriend's roommate. One night, after spending time with his girlfriend, she fell asleep and he went into her roommates room. Apparently he thought since she slept with other players it would be OK. Bad move, and he went to jail. He felt entitled - he was wrong. No one could believe he did it at first, and everyone supported him. The girl was humiliated and harassed. It was a bad deal.

So one story makes you unilaterally say you won't believe a woman that says she was sexually assaulted without "overwhelming evidence"?
What is "overwhelming evidence"?
I realize that there are women who make false rape accusations, but the number of women who get raped and don't report it > the number of women who make false rape accusations.

Kid from Georgia was Marcus Dixon, was the highest rated recrui ever to commit to Bobby Johnson at VU. VU dropped his offer admits the investigation and he actually went to jail, turned out girl made up the whole thing and after a prison sentence Dixon has actually played the last couple of years in the NFL.
There are 4 names out there, none of which have ever actually played a snap in a game, that are being discussed as the suspended players. Not going to post them but it situations like this the best thing to do for anyone is to let the facts and the judicial process play out. That said if they are guilty they should be punished to the fullest extent of the law.

Honestly, with that many possible defendants and interested parties to the police (10), there is almost no chance this is a he said-she said situation. On the face of it, this looks much, much, much worse. I'm very disappointed for a university that usually stands for much, much more. I'm not going to lie, I got extreme enjoyment from finally winning 9 games. But it isn't worth it if this is the price. I guess now we know what it feels like to be a UT, UGA, or UF fan. This is a pretty sick feeling. I'd rather return to being a doormat than be associated with such actions.
