I think the real question we need to ask ourselves is:
or how a police officer caught up to one of our starting safeties. Slow on the back end this year?

Yea, sitting at the beach and posting from phone. My phone does not play well with others. I have a written rule not to speak with Don until 12:00. So not yet

I just can't believe it is OK to flee from a vehicle while it is being pulled over. No matter the reason.

Like I stated, I think if they think you were involved in the crime as the reason for the stop, yes. or as they approach, they see something further to warrant arrest, then yes. Like if they saw the gun prior to fleeing rather than after they caught him.

A cop has to have a reason for arrest or detention to warrant eluding

With the info out there now, Id say there is a good chance nothing comes of this, but as we all know, there is probably more.

Im not sure if you mean me but I never insinuated he was a thug or anything of the such. Just a total dumb arse for what he did. That is my middle ground. Total dumb arse

You were just the last reply in the thread

If you want to get down to it though, I would be interested in why he was riding around as a passenger with a unregistered handgun? Maybe coming back from the range?

Who knows? I know plenty of people that carry guns purely for "protection" or they just think it's cool to have one with them. Not saying it's smart or anything but he is far from the only person in the world riding around with an unregistered gun

The brings up the question of why he's surround himself with dumbasses this close to the season that late at night on a Wednesday.

Well Roberts grew up in Opelika & I believe grew up in poverty in some rough neighborhoods. Probably was out with buddies he's known his whole life. It's hard for kids that grow up like that to get out of it especially when home is so close

I hate to hear that man. He can be a great guy to hang with. But then there are those other times.

I think charges will be dropped or diversion program(youthful offender) minor suspension punishment from Auburn and we move on.

That is unless more serious details come out

I don't know if this counts but if I pull over a vehicle and a guy high tails it as soon as the car stops, I'm going to suspect he committed a crime

Did he have the gun on him or was it just in the car?

See, the issue here is he didn't start yelling "Beeeee's!!!!!". If he had done that while running, he would have been fine.

My question is how did they catch him? Our speed conditioning coach should be fired.

But...not Clemson correct?

Let him miss the opportunity against ULM, to make a couple INT's. THAT will teach him.

I implore you; What does sitting another Nationally televised, Prime Time game get you? Our players do that every week. NO, what he needs is to sit the game where he gets to pad his stats. That alone will serve as a reminder...
