If they are in any way banking on JJ turning things around, they are incompetent. White has outplayed him in every way. I don't trust their ability to grade QBs based on practice, because I see what JJ was like in games. They obviously have a severe deficiency in grading quarterbacks.

I've seen Malzahn run this offense in a different way before. He used to be thought of as pass happy. Now he is completely the inverse.

Again, barring SW having the worst game I've ever witnessed a QB having, he should be the starter for the rest of the year. If he isn't, Malzahn isn't trying to win games.

Your post seems overly emotional. An honest assessment of SW vs JJ is that SW has made less mistakes that cost the team. I.E. If we loose his fumbles then he has as many turnovers as JJ. SW has also played with a lot more energy. There really is no excuse for how emotionless JJ played. However, JJ also made several huge throws that White has yet to make. I am not overly optimistic about either one being our future.

You haven't seen White make the throws JJ has because he hasn't been asked to make those throws. With 10 pass attempts yesterday, we aren't exactly trying to figure out if he can make them either. You know what other throws we haven't seen White make? The ones where he doesn't go through his progression, stares down his receiver and then throws it to the defender like he was the intended target.

We run a pass sad offense. Seems like a fitting name.

This team reminds me of 2003 AU. We had a pleathra of talent offensively, but couldn't figure out what to do with it all or how to get them all involved in a cohesive manner.

Actually he did that 3 times yesterday but the D didn't make the plays. RL made a great play for a reception on one of them.

Could be. Even that 2003 team knocked off top ten opponents in Tennessee and Arkansas. Maybe an OC change is all we need, but as we all agree, Gus isn't going to fire Lashlee which is unfortunate.

Our offense, and coaches are lost.

We are no where near as talented as that 03 team.
That team had 4 WRs, TE, 2 RBs, FB, QB, and 3 OL eventually drafted.

yeah, thats bull shite right there. You think every Qb is dropping perfect passes on every throw? GMAFB

White - 6/10. Incomplete passes-

Duke got beat on a jump ball
Melvin Ray dropped a perfect pass
Jason Smith Dropped a great deep ball that hit both of his hands in stride
Coach called a one read stop and go to Ricardo and he threw it out of bounds.

Thats it. If Ray and Smith catch the ball he is 8/10 with 150+ passing yards.

Listen, Chex, the Auburn board isn't for rational thought anymore. The tribe has spoken.

Hey, I don't know where all this rationality is coming from. I thought I was clear, the board has decided we are going to pull out the tampons and bleed until we can bleed no more.

its gotten so derp around here i dont even check the board during games. Yes we are struggling this year, but most of that can be attributed to key injuries, a retarded Qb and a coaching staff that is in full panic mode.

Bye week couldnt have come at a better time.

I'll be concerned if we don't see some progress in the offense against UK.

I think there are like 5 of us who haven't jumped off a ledge yet and are still waiting to see if White can be successful. I'm not on the ledge yet but if Gus calls for White to throw 10 passes in a few weeks against Kentucky or god forbid JJ gets the start, then I will be shoving you guys out of my way to get on the ledge.

I agree. White is a gamer and seems to bring more energy to the team. The play calling is mind boggling. I found myself during the game saying wtf are you doing Gus. Give White at least a chance to air it out. We'll never know what the kid cam do if we keep calling the same 3 plays all game long.

They know what he can do. They also know that they didn't have to air it out to win the game. We'll see what he can do when the situation calls for it.

I have a feeling the UK and Arky games are going to go similar to the MSU game.

All of you keep saying that, but we passed against JSU and almost lost. We all bitched about not running the ball. Maybe Gus and co realize we suck at QB, and not passing is our best chance to win.

Answer yes or no.

Does Sean give us a threat to run at the Qb position?
Has he shown he can stand in the pocket and deliver an accurate pass while under pressure?
Has he been successful at managing the offense?

If you answered yes, then we do not "suck" at Qb. If you answered no, then provide how he hasnt.

I absolutely agree SW has brought an energy to the team, but I personally haven't seen him do much to make me get excited about the future with him. I am always amazed at perspectives and perceptions. A couple of post above this one someone is explaining away or seeing less than perfect throws as dimes dropped by SW. I certainly didn't see it that way, but I also would admit 10 throws ain't much to go on.

What I like...He plays hard and hasn't gift wrapped interceptions. He runs hard though he doesn't have the type of legs that scare anyone.

What I don't like...He doesn't have the type of legs that scare anyone. He hasn't really been accurate on long throws and has actually thrown a couple that seemed like he just put it up there. (Sample size to small for honest assessment) For all the recruiting junkies I remember him being trumpeted as strong armed but I haven't seen a single pass that made me think "wow" he's got a cannon. To be fair the coaches haven't given him much of a chance at this point.

He may turn out fine, but comparing his play to that of the Allen kid last season is laughable. That kid made several throws early that made anyone with eye balls say "he's got it".

For many that are trumpeting him on here it feels more like wanting to be right that Gus should have pulled him sooner than honest on the field assessment of his play.

IDC. My point is if we had passed, and that turned into JSU, everyone here would have bitched about not feeding Barber.
