You're absolutely incorrect. All the defense has to do is respect that you might keep and be a threat to pick up first downs. You don't need a running back that can break 80 yard runs to be a running threat, you need a guy that can grind it out between the tackles to make you respect it.

Yup as soon as Duke and Davis came off the line they turned to Louis to see if he would catch it.

That is the definition of a Mickey Mouse offense.

Duke's roll was to draw the safety. He did that. Only problem is that they were in cover 2. Play was doomed from the start and Duke is labeled as loafing on the play.

That's because he did jack shite on the play. He never reached the deep level until the play was over and was still jogging towards the safety.

There were 2 safeties. One one dukes side and one on Ricardo's side.

Play was doomed from the get go. Should have checked out of it when noticed 2 deep safeties but we don't teach our qbs white like thats

I had a coach in hs that would send in plays with throw it to Bill attached to it. We would get pissed because we never practiced that way. We would tell our qb frick that, go through your reads and find the open man like we practice every day.

There was no chance the ball was going to him because it was an obvious single read playcall. He did what he was supposed to do. They had two safeties playing back. Louis was going to draw double coverage either way. It was a horrible playcall. Gus has to realize that people aren't respecting our run game as much anymore and shite like that isn't going to work.

JJ was obviously sticking to the "throw it to Bill" play calls and it resulted in a ton of ints because "Bill" would be in double / triple coverage. The only times our mickey mouse pass game works is when you have a guy like Cam or NM that can scramble around and wait for "Bill" to come open or take off running.

Aren't these games exactly when you open up everything to see what the new guy can do? Even if he fricks up it isn't as big of deal compared to waiting to see what he can do versus a&m, ole miss, etc.

It's not like were competing for the west. I'd rather find out what these can do versus going to some shitty bowl.

Smith "Sammie Coates" the route& fricking misjudged the ball. It wasn't the best ball placement but that was all on Jason Smith. He ran right towards the middle of the field and the ball was drifting left.

It all starts with the run game. The defense stacks the box then we go deep. Our run game just isn't near as dynamic when the defense can key on one guy. That's always been my basis for wanting a duel threat QB and why White won't work.

Last time we played QB musical chairs was in 2012.

Why do we keep making excuses that this team isn't a mess? We may see improvement one week, only to see it get worse the next week. Where is the consistency?

I'm putting just about all the fault in Gus for the QB problems. He had a guy raised 3 years in his 'system' and when he crashed, it pretty much fricked our season. Our backup, also recruited by Gus isn't even trusted by him!!! Meanwhile I watched Grier, who made his first start last week, now battling flu symptoms skull frick Ole Miss. Would you say UF was being cautious with his pass plays?! frick no, they were letting him sling it.

This year is a mess, and the staff is beginning to lose the focus and effort of the team. I just hope no players decide to do something stupid on the weekdays...

On the money?... what fricking game were you watching?
obviously not the same one you were. I was sitting in the stands watching him drop dimes and having Ray and Smith drop the ball. Not to mention the beating he took when he stood in the pocket and took the hit, all while delivering accurate passes. JJ is afraid of contact and will never be an SEC caliber Qb. Sean has the tools. JJ doesnt.

I'm now starting the fourth quarter and you can just look at the stat sheet and see who gives a shite. Those not appearing on the stat sheet much are the ones that are half-assing literally the whole game. JJ at receiver and he walks to the corner and rests two hands on him for two plays and then walks back towards the huddle laughing. Duke is literally not running routes at this point. The running backs are the only ones that seem to give a shite, they are all running hard at least.

Yeah, I think most of the posters here are fricking nailing it. At this point it feels like Gus is playing scared as frick. 10 PASSING ATTEMPTS? REALLY? I feel like we missed a very important opportunity to get SW some live reps before we run through the gauntlet of every SEC team waiting to go in deep and raw on our asses.

We know one thing, a one dimensional offense is NOT going to cut it down that stretch. Period. I know Gus doesn't want two psychologically battered QB's and that he wants the W's for his own well being and for the psychology of the team, but winning like shite against a shite team does do a lot of good for your team psyche. Now you've wasted the opportunity to strengthen your position by working on the element thats handicapping the season......the passing game.

I think holding back now does more damage than good. Thats my two cents.

If you're a college WR and the ball hits you in the hands you catch it. Sure it wasn't a perfect throw, but you can't expect a perfect throw. The ball was not that poorly thrown. It should of most definitely been caught.

While I'm trying to maintain a positive attitude, I can't help but agree with all of the above.

ETA: Sean White beat Will Grier at that Elite 11 that everyone keeps referencing.
