Caught a lot of crap from uga fans no doubt but score a bunch of points.. on everyone really. Can develop QBs

Are you serious? Bo-Bo would be a shite OC hire let alone HC. He got shite because he deserved it. He got shut down regularly by most defenses with a pulse. He avg under 20 ppg vs UF their main rival

QB Developer? Stafford was a top 5 recruit #1 QB while Aaron Murray was top 50. Just look what happened in the years they didn't have a top recruit. They sucked arse at QB

Mike Gundy would be one that I would try to talk to. Doubt he'd leave Oklahoma State but I'd at least see if there's interest there.

If we have a single brain cell, we'll go after Dan Mullen. It's a no brainer.

I don't see what the issue is with Mullen? He had turned MSST into a consistent threat, which I thought was impossible only a few years ago.

I'd take Gus and a SEC title every day. I love Petrino and wanted him but his programs are always one screw loose from falling apart. Petrino is awful at recruiting + program management

If we were looking for a head coach, he would be one of the first calls on my list. Plus, I really dig the mullet.

Mike Gundy

Taken from his Wikipedia page.

quote:

The Mullet[edit]
Gundy garnered attention prior to the start of the 2016 season by sporting the sapling of a mullet, which he referred to as the "Arkansas Waterfall". Gundy responded to questions by saying it was a reaction to his son's chiding that he was overdue for a haircut. The Gundy Mullet has galvanized his team and garnered approval from mullet royalty in the form of country music star Billy Ray Cyrus, who told ESPN.com that he'll be pulling for the Cowboys as a result. [21]

The mullet has subsequently taken on a life of its own and grown into a glorious tribute to his Midwest City, Oklahoma roots. Although opposing coaches are cautious to comment on the mullet publicly, many have quietly expressed that they are intimidated by such a rugged display of individualism.[22]

What evidence do you have that AU would have been any more successful over the past 4+ years with Petrino instead of Gustav?

The dude lost to Mark Stoops and Ed Orgeron in consecutive games last year with Lamar fricking Jackson as his starting QB. Then went out and hired the DC from a team that we crushed on their home field with Sean White at QB.

Maybe those bitch arse fans did us a huge favor back then.

Well him and T Boone Pickens don't have a great relationship. Pickens probably would fund the buyout himself if Gundy's record ever dropped

Probably not a stretch to think he'd be open to leaving when the booster who donated $250mil+ and named the stadium after himself doesn't like him

Venebles is a good DC . nothing more.

Brohm is an interesting candidate.

Personally I think Larry Fedora needs to be in the discussion

Is Chad Morris too Gus-like? He seems to be really improving the SMU program.
