I was just reading the thread on the main board about each coaches worst loss and Tech is the one I would go with. That was absolutely unacceptable. That should have been Bielema's break out year and instead we start the year flat. Partly due to the injuries of course but we still shouldn't have been smoked like that to a team we ran for damn near a million yards the year before.

I was there at that game and I don't agree.

Maholmes was a man amoung boys and it was clear early on we weren't winning that game. he was faster than our secondary and was throwing bullets by flicking his wrist.

when you have the best player on the field, and he happens to be a QB you're going to win more times than not

Toledo okay. Both Rutgers

frick, we lost to rutgers, twice lol. i just remembered that.

La Monroe and the loss to the Citadel trumps any loss Bert will ever have.

The loss to Tech and the melts of the last 2 games of last year rank 3rd, 4th and 5th

Totally agree.

There's been a bit of revisionist history about the 2015 Texas Tech game. Our fans act like they can't believe we lost to them, yet Tech dominated that game throughout. If I recall correctly, I don't believe they punted once, or they did it only one time if they did, and Mahomes was throwing on us at will. We didn't run the ball effectively at all, and Brandon Allen was getting pressured consistently.

When reassessing the 2015 season, it's fine to play the "what if" game with the likes of Toledo, A&M and Mississippi State, but Tech absolutely beat our asses that day.

There's no way losing to a P5 team with a future top 10 draft pick playing QB is worse than losing to Toledo. Any year.

That was kind of my point. Toledo was a complete fluke. We only scored 3 points I think in 5 red zone attempts against them. That's just a complete anomaly. Tech was an out of the blue beat down that we had no chance of winning.

honestly... i don't even feel bad in retrospect about lossing to miss state. we shouldn't have. but i don't feel bad about it. their QB lead the cowbowys to a 14-2 record for crying out loud dude was throwing darts all night.

toledo was inexcusable

I haven't seen a single person act shocked or amazed. It doesn't have to be a loss that shouldn't have happened to be a bad loss (Although we should NEVER have lost to that Tech team that year. We beat way better players than their QB later in the year.) I hate the loss because of how incompetent we looked. Specifically on offense. When Tech's D can stifle you, you suck.

Brandon alle was the best player on the field that night. Should have let him win the game.

For the crap I give Bert, that's really the only in-game coaching decision I've ever totally disagreed with or questioned. Allen was unstoppable that night and he took the ball out of his hands to play for the field goal, disregarding the fact that field goal kicking was a glaring weak spot on our team.

I have. I see it often when we're revisiting the "what could have been" discussion regarding the 2015 record, the point being that the A&M, Toledo and State games were all losses that hinged on a play or two and can be hypothetically slid to the win column, whereas Tech was a thorough arse whipping in which the outcome did not rest on one play or series.

Cole cubelic literally said he thinks we will be last in the sec. Said we would lose to ole miss. Didn't see how we could win any games ever. Because we don't run the ball 90% of the time like we did in 2013/14.

Man, I don't understand why I keep seeing people saying this. They apparently think we're going to lose to them for the first time in three years when they just fired their coach and have a bowl ban. Anyone who believes that is legitimately stupid.
