and I don't post much. I am a coach by profession. I know the game.... we have not developed players. Our program is SLIGHTLY better since Pel. Not much.

Hey man no need to apologize, don't let things like multiple web sites get in the way of your incredibly uninformed opinion.

Look man.... We can argue over recruits all day, till they get to campus it doesn't matter. My point was that we are not developing talent AND that I didn't feel like we are recruiting the talent we used to as well.

.....my bad bro.... Loosing to the friggin meth heads at home has me on edge.
I like Mike and hope he gets it done, but I'm not seeing the turnaround I had hoped for. It may be impossible.

So just a quick question. How long do you think Mike needs? I am not in favor of firing him this year like others. I mean we did give John four years so why not Mike? But I also don't have much faith in him turning it around.

Can we honestly say they have gotten better? You could argue that Madden has this year but I wouldn't say it's the yearly progress you would have expected.

Madden looks like a different player this year. We saw glimpses in the last month of last season, but he's exceeded expectations. Gulley is much bettter this year, and qualls too, until this months rut.

To pin MAs coaching on the lack of talent evident in scott and wade is just dumb.

We'll give Mike 5 years minimum. If he doesn't make the tournament in year 5 he's gone, but we both know that's not going to happen. We'll likely make the NIT this year and then go dancing next year, that's my prediction.

This particular team is close but they're very young and still haven't quite figured out how to play as a unit. Portis and Kingsley are good additions but they're still just true freshmen.

People say the SEC is a terrible conference, well it's still a lot better than the teams Portis played at Hall High.

And all things being equal, can you imagine what this team would be like if we still had Young and Powell for one more year? Those were our two best scoring options and we still lead the league in scoring right now. Needless to say that's remarkable.

Personally I'm trying to figure out how we make the NIT with a 6-10 at best conference record.

There was a particular pick & roll late last night that will stick in my craw for awhile.

Portis sets the pick and heads down the left side of the paint to the rim. He was open, both defenders followed Madden. He missed the pass or the easy alley oop to pull the ball back outside the arc and we took a bad jumpshot.

They just don't play smart on the offensive end. The hustle on D and play really aggressive getting into foul issues and leaving us to play soft late in the second half.

We're the best 30 minute squad in the country.

Mike is handcuffed by Wade, Scott, and Haydar.

I love Kikko, bless his heart, but everyone knows he is more of a tweener and can shoot sometimes. Wade and Scott are wastes.

Mike couldn't cut them, thus, we have no options but them right now. APR is the thorn in ours and Mikes side. He was handcuffed recruiting when he got here and it shows now.

Seriously, we have NO options in guard play outside of Madden. None.

Agreed and they can't put together an even semi-long run either. We go down and pop a 3, then steal or get the ball back and make another shot then it's 3 or so minutes of dumb shot, dumb shot, dumb shot, dumb shot or the rarity just a simple missed shot. We do not know how to go for the jugular and just beat the hell out of someone (at least not in conference play).
