It’s all about matchups. Forget team comparisons.

I'm just saying why they feel more confident. They should feel better after watching a severely undermanned OSU stiffle a basically full powered Mizzou.

We aren't Mizzou though

Anyways, this does give me concern but from what Saban has said we seem focused and lack focus and turnovers are the only shot they have

I’m interested to see how Ole Miss looks against Penn State tomorrow.

I too watched the game as a gauge. I knew OSU’s offense wouldn’t be great but I was curious to see how their D handled Mizzou. Other than a couple deep balls and QB runs OSU faired well. Better than I expected (hoped).

I still like our chances.

Ohio State was basically full strength on defense tonight. It was the offense where they had players out.

Missouri was predicted to finish sixth in the SEC east this year. They overachieved in a huge way. Their roster, overall, is not like Alabama or Georgia.

They may have been predicted to finish sixth but they finished 2nd. I get that they’re not on the level of Bama or UGA. Just thought Mizzou’s offense would fair better against them is all.

Michigan may be a better team than we think but that’s ok. I don’t think UM is better than UGA. So that gives me some relief. Would you agree?

Sure but that level of hatred is seen among plenty of non-SEC fans too. Just look at any CFB board. Some of them hate Bama more than their rivals and they don’t even play Bama regularly like many other SEC teams do

I’ve been a Bama fan for a long time and the hatred was just as real even in the Shula days.

Daniels is better than McCarthy.

So is Carson Beck. Possibly Jaxon Dart as well.

All that talk about Saban paying players. I'm always stunned by the Big Ten's holier than thou attitude. They've been doing that my entire life, but it's shocking that they still keep it going after every major program in that conference has had at least one major scandal in the last fifteen years. Three separate programs in the Big Ten have had institutional support for sexual abuse - of children at Penn State, of women at Michigan State, and of men at Northwestern. Ohio State was caught red-handed and had to fire Tressel, then had a number of scandals under Meyer. Michigan has somehow found multiple ways to cheat even in the era of sanctioned pay for play. The Big Ten has been the most renegade organization in college athletics this century.

OSU defense cracked in the fourth quarter. The tough little sawed off runt kept coming and coming all game til he started finding daylight and he ran for about 125 or so.

The 2 and 3 teams for the Big 10 were dismantled by the SEC runner ups.

And Alabama was able to beat Georgia in the most high pressure situation there was. We did it without McClellan, too.
