I guess National championships. They will just have to get through the USC game without Cam. Good thing USC lost their whole DL.

Man you are so confident he will miss one game.

Look I'm not saying they were framed. Seems like they're pretty screwed as far as the evidence goes (so far).

But if you're naive enough to think a Louisiana cop could find no incentive to nail an All-American LT for a rival team then I don't know what to tell you. Not only is it possible, it's not even all that farfetched.

Let's just see how it plays out.

The cop would have no incentive if they weren't breaking any laws. Is it an incentive it's the pigs fricking job?

Eta: I thought you were talking about tacking on additional charges to something minor, not framing them. I'm blind. But it still applies. If they aren't out at 4 am in a closed park, they don't put themselves in situations like this to give any cop and "incentive"

where this gets cumbersome is if the vehicle didn't belong to him, or if a teammate gets implicated with the gun.

otherwise this is just two college kids who made dumb choices and are likely going to plead to misdemeanors and, hopefully for their sake, move on with their lives while on 1-2 years of probation.

How high do you have to be to not at least try to hide your weapon when a cop comes up.

Cam and Hootie will land on their feet. Monroe/West Monroe is home. They have family, friends and former coaches who will be there for them.

BUT... they'll land on their feet somewhere other than the University of Alabama, IMO.

FWIW, Monroe PD has a pretty good rep. Forsythe Park does not... and hasn't for at least 30 years.

Right?? I'm just glad he didn't get shot. That is the exact situation where something like that happens.

Saban speaks:

quote:

"We all have a responsibility and obligation to represent the university, ourselves and our family in a first-class way," Saban said in the radio interview with WNSP-FM. "Obviously, we're a little disappointed that better choices and decisions weren't made here, but until we get the facts, we don't really have much else to say about it."

I wonder how long this is going to play out?

so a bama cop wouldn't do the same against a tiger player? ...

Meaning you think he would let Cam play while under these charges?

how old are you. If I was a Bama cop I would probably not know the name of an LSU player unless he was very high profile. So you really think this is about FB and someone trumping up charges.

NS has already said he is disapointed, meaning he has a good clue what the facts are.

Me either. Now if he pleads it down to a misdemeanor before August then all bets are off. I could see remaster being correct on Cam only missing one game if that scenario played out.

If I was a cop, I would definitely go after people with AU stuff on there vehicle. Like giving a speeding ticket for going 56 in a 55.

The police report said that the glock was stolen in Baldwin Co. April 2015 out of a vehicle. If the victim knows what date it was stolen, and Cam was in school at the time, then maybe that can help with his defense. I know the LA law states that not knowing it was stolen is not a defense. But maybe a good lawyer can work with that.

What would suck is if Ryan Anderson stole the gun. He's from Baldwin county. Pretty sure he's the only current player from Baldwin county. Yeldon, Julio, Robert Lester, DJ Fluker are the only ones under Saban to be from Baldwin county.
