We aren’t poaching Schumann in a lateral move, I don’t know how y’all think that’s even possible

Would love for Grubb to come with him. It is Deboer offense anyway but would be awesome to have him. He may get the UW job

DeBoer has a team already. One of the things that was alluded to with him taking this position was not so much about us outbidding UW for him, but we took much better care of his staff. Here is his apparent inner circle.
Ryan Grubb OC QBs
-When Kalen DeBoer was named Washington's new head football coach, the first staff member he announced was Ryan Grubb, who joins the Huskies as offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach.
Grubb was a member of DeBoer's staff at Fresno State the last two seasons, serving as associate head coach, offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach.
William Inge Co DC linebackers
--William Inge was named Washington's co-defensive coordinator and linebackers coach on Dec. 18, 2021. He reunited with Husky head coach Kalen DeBoer, having served as defensive coordinator and linebackers coach at Fresno State the previous two years.
Chuck Morrell Co DC
--Chuck Morrell continued his long association with UW head coach Kalen DeBoer when he joined the Washington coaching staff as co-defensive coordinator and safeties coach in 2002. Morrell, a former head coach at Montana Tech and defensive coordinator under DeBoer at Sioux Falls, spent the previous two years before coming to UW on DeBoer's Fresno State staff as the safeties coach.
Eric Schmidt special teams, edge
--Eric Schmidt joined the 2022 Washington coaching staff as special teams coordinator and coach of the EDGE position on defense. He returns for a second season in 2023. Schmidt was a member of UW head coach Kalen DeBoer's staff at Fresno State each of the two years prior to coming to Seattle
Juice Brown
--Julius "Juice" Brown joined the Washington football coaching staff as cornerbacks coach early in new head coach Kalen DeBoer's tenure. In 2023, he returns for a second season with the Huskies. Brown joined the UW staff after having worked the previous two years at Fresno State
Lee Marks
--TITLE Assistant Head Coach/Running Backs Coach
Lee Marks joined Washington's 2022 coaching staff as the running backs coach. Marks came to UW from Fresno State, where he worked the last two seasons.
Scott Huff OL, Nick Sheridan TE, Inoke Breckterfield DL, and JaMarcus Shephard WR are the only four that hasn't been with DeBoer for the last 4 years. Brick Huard said specifically that Shephard was coming with him, and he thought it was the whole staff. Huff had been at UW for 7 years. He may stay there if retained.

I like their defensive back coach as well.

We could easily get him. Alabama has the money.
Who y'all think we are?

Nick Saban isn’t our HC anymore bud. UGA can match whatever cash offer we put in front of him and they’re the current juggernaut.
Schumann should be a HC target for us if he keeps his upward trajectory for the next 7-10 years
Y’all are wild

Based on what? Why wouldn’t UGA have the money? They don’t have oil money or Nike money but neither does Bama

I really liked the way his corners turned their heads around

You do realize Schumann is “co-dc” and not dc, right?

He’s a co-DC right now. The opportunity to run the show completely for a coach that isn’t looking over your shoulder could be tempting. Either way, I doubt staff is sorted out for a few more weeks.

Y'all really like Washington defensive performances over the last two years? I'm all for anyone on his offensive staff but I would prefer he seek a DC with a stronger track record.

If you are a Pac 12 school, yes.

Any if them with SEC ties?
I think the staff having SEC ties is probably even more important than the head coach having them.
I've read the only one with SEC ties is his TE coach, who was a GA at Tennessee for a couple of years.

I think breckterfield coached at Vandy for a year.

You do know Glenn is an Alabama alumnus, right?
He got his start in coaching at Alabama.
He's also the Co-DC at Georgia with Muschamp.
It wouldn't be a lateral move.

Think it probably had to do more with the jimmies and the joes than the X’s and O’s.
