Saw on Twitter where Pelphrey was his recruiter for UF

Great find. Having that kind of connection is huge.

If we can get Giddens that next season would be huge. Hope Avery can work his magic

Gosh, I do too. Pelphrey hire is already paying dividends. He recruited Giddens. We probably don't get this visit without him.

Petty quit his AAU team said he wasn't getting the ball enough smh. Kid was averaging over 15 shots a game.

I think he got the big head and now is having a rough time against competition that's just as good as he is. Honestly its good news for us. Kentucky will probably fall back...

I really hope it gives us a better chance. I believe Avery will set him straight if he commits and shows any signs of not being a "team player"

Hoping that the Giddens visit was not just a courtesy to Pelphrey, however, if we do land him...

I would imagine that would push Garrison Brooks to UGA. Our rivals will try to use it on Alex Reese, but I hope our staff will be able to convince him that they have different skill sets and can be on the floor at the same time.

Giddens is a true center while Brooks and definitely Reese are 4s. It shouldn't affect them at all.

Charlie Potter's prediction on what our lineup will look like:

My best guess:
PG -- Dazon Ingram, Corban Collins, Avery Johnson Jr.
SG -- Ar'Mond Davis, Brandon Austin, Corban Collins
SF -- Braxton Key, Riley Norris, Nick King
PF -- Nick King, Shannon Hale
C -- Jimmie Taylor, Donta Hall
Alabama is still looking to add another big, too.

I think we sell the green light angle here. Come play for us and be the man instead of having to share the ball with all the other 5 stars. Shoot as often as you like. We'll give you the ball.

He'll probably do like he did Arthur Edwards, tell him to shoot the ball when he has a good shot

PG- Ingram, Collins, AJJR
SG- Davis, Collins, Austin
SF- King, Norris, Key
PF- Hale, Key, King
C- Hall, Taylor

Could be wrong, but I see Collins playing somewhere in the 20 minute range, as a backup. After watching Austin last season, I'd have a hard time believing he'd be the top SG reserve. When I watched the practice tapes on youtube, I got the feeling King will play more 3 than 4. I see Key playing a big role, but not from the starting lineup. If I had to put money on it, I'd probably have Taylor starting, but I'm hoping Hall takes over that role.

Just saw a source on Twitter associated with the Big East that says he's convinced that Alabama is the leader for Kalif Young.

A Marquette guy just put a crystal ball in for Marquette on Young's 247 page. It wouldn't shock me to see him commit. If him going to Marquette meant we were going to land Giddens, I'd take it in a heartbeat even though we'd be severely undermanned in the post again this season.
