Yeah I saw your post on his turnover ratoo. That's good to hear he's developed into a better all around player. Still hope he's not just a spot up shooter

Edwards was pretty much a strictly three point shooter. Collins looks like he has a decent mid range jumper and the ability to to drive to the hole

I mean Collins was PG for Morehead. He has to have the ability to dribble and drive.

Plus I think I saw that he was 2nd team All-OVC too. Highlight video I watched did not show someone that is just a spot up shooter.

Agreed. I think this pickup has a lot more upside than what Edwards brought to the table. It'll be interesting to see how AJ Jr. fits with a proven backup PG now on our roster. With that being said, is there any chance Collins pushes Ingram for the starting role?

I just can't see him taking away Ingram spot. The offense ran strictly through Ingram when he was healthy. That high screen was creating mismatches with his size. I don't see AJ making a difference until his junior or senior season.

Collin Sextons visit went "exceptionally well". Here's the VIP article

Anything important in here?

They really enjoyed getting to talk to the staff, players, and academic advisors. He wants to make a decision in the next couple months so that he can enjoy his senior year. No clear front runners at the moment, but he said Bama will deifnitely get an official visit.

Well that's good.

One thing I've noticed, even if Avery Jr never plays much or isn't that good, he's a key part of this team. He's active on Twitter and periscope and can connect and become friends with these players very quickly. That makes these players feel at home when coming to visit.

I'm starting to think Avery Jr runs CAJ twitter or CAJ is really hip to everything that young people are lol.

I would take us not getting a post player that could help next year if we could land this guy. He didn't have good stats at OSU but he would be a huge help here after a sit-out year.

Just from a quick twitter search, he's already visited UGA and TCU. This would be a huge get for us. I had no idea we were interested/being considered.

Probably depends what Dazon looks like coming back from that injury.

I have a feeling we will see both of them at the court at the same time. Dazon's got the size to defend basically 1-4. Having multiple playmakers on the court at the same time would be so nice to have.

We really stagnated when Retin couldn't get loose. Coleman tried at times.

Let’s divide his projection into halves. There’s the Giddens I expect to see as a freshman and sophomore, one who gives the team a physical presence and defensive stalwart at a time when some very good big men have entered college basketball. By the time he reaches his junior year, however, I suspect that an athlete with his work ethic and desire to improve will add some semblance of balance. As he continues to improve his hook shots and interior finishing in traffic, Giddens could make a push for some version of the all-Big Ten team before his time at OSU is finished.

That's the evaluation Scout gave him when he committed to OSU last year.

I'm guessing Giddens would have to sit out this year or did he sit out past year?
