I think we need another big. I know its a lil late but that's what I want. You know what I don't get though. Is we sent a lot of guys packing that are similar to the guys he is bringing in. I mean he sent to guys who could shoot away that were around 6'3 last year.

Hopefully we can get Kalif Young to visit because I haven't seen any grad transfer bigs have interest in us.

Since we aren't going to pursue Hampton anymore, hopefully we can get Que Johnson to visit.

Who is Hampton again. Would really like to Que. That would be a game changer somewhat IMO. Que and a big if possible would be a excellent class. Lot of talent and depth.

JC Hampton is the PG grad transfer from Lipscomb. I would've been happy with him or Collins but obviously with one year left, two guys don't want to use their last year fighting for the backup spot at the same position. Collins does provide a bit more size though.

Your guess is as good as mine I imagine it's 0% though if we don't get him here for a visit.

That's from Collins' Twitter account so it looks like he's confirmed the news himself

Oh. Why do I always forget about A. Davis. I think that would just be too many wing guys if we added que Johnson. I think the next guy we try to get has to be a big because we really only have to legit bits,

I agree that a big is basically a must get, but if we have the scholarships which I think we do, you can't have enough wings that can shoot it. Especially as well as Johnson can.

We need Kalif Young. Get him and I'll be satisfied and feel really good about next year.

I don't think Kalif will make that much of a difference. I could be wrong though. I just like that he is a under basket type big

Unless he has a high ceiling, I'd much rather bring in a grad transfer big for this year and save the scholarship for next year (instead of signing a HS guy). Just not sure that Young has that high of a ceiling. Goodness knows we should strike gold in the c/o 2017. I'd love to have 5+ scholarships for that.

Now signing a good grad transfer big is easier said than done. I understand that. There's some stiff competition out there for those.

I see what you're saying but I'd rather bring in someone like Young this so year so he can develop for a year in the system. That way we won't have to replace all but one post player the following year.

I should've clarified my "Pearl schooling us" comments. It's more about the quantity over quality. They had momentum before we got this big commitment from Collins. SO stinkin excited! Unfortunately, I think this ends 2016 for us. Young had cancelled twice. I don't think he really wants to come here. That being said, I have no idea where else he could go. Marquette fell through. Providence just got a commitment from a PF. If we could get him on campus, he'd likely commit. Wouldn't doubt if he ended up a transfer before this time next year. Interested to see how this develops. I'd like a big for this season, but I also would like as many open schollys for 17 as possible.

Love the pickup. We had to get a backup PG and we got a very good one that can also play some minutes off-ball with his shooting ability. I could see him playing close to 20 min a game this season.

The main thing that has me worried for next season is FT shooting. I saw that Davis Shot about 81% last year, but outside of that we don't really have a trustworthy FT shooter on scholarship. Makes me wonder if Schaffer is going to have to be the FT closer that Coleman was last year. That's asking a lot from a walk-on that would most likely be coming in cold.

LSU fans on the rant basically described Collins as another Edwards. I seriously hope he has more ability to dribble the basketball more than Edwards.

From that one freshman year that he (barely) played for them. I'm not saying that the comparison to Edwards is a bad thing, but I don't think it's something LSU fans can accurately judge.
