I find that having BHM is racist.

Why should we keep the blacks month separated from the other months? HMMMM

What is wrong with celebrating the lives of people who helped end the most demeaning injustice/stain of America's history - slavery? How about the lives of those who fought to bring about equality once slavery was abolished?

You see violence around the world these days, from beheadings to explosions, all in the name of feeling wronged in some way. Yet here, it was mostly peaceful, with most bloodshed being on the hands of whites.

I'm not black, I'm of Scottish heritage (so very white) and am middle-of-the-road-to-slightly-conservative. With that, I see zero wrong with it. It is not racist in the slightest. It is American to the fullest.

Personally, America to it's fullest in this case for me would be celebrating all the people who were involved in the development of this country. Women? Native Americans? So on. Why focus on African Americans for one month?

Like Affirmative Action in it's current form, it's time to make some revisions.

Asian history month is in May, and Hispanic history month is in August or September.

There's a reason they gave them the shortest month of the year.

So, would a honky need to sit in on the front of the month in order to protest this unfair segregation?

It's not. Other races have history months too.

Definitely learned much about the contributions of different races during said months. I believe it's a good thing.

I find it racist as well. Black history is taught all in one month. White history gets the other 11.

Does not compute.

This country was built by John D. Rockefeller. Cornelius Vanderbilt. Andrew Carnegie. Henry Ford. J.P. Morgan.

So, those guys you listed...none of them had mothers? Women who gave birth to them, taught them, raised them, counseled them and for the most part probably greatly contributed to the ppl they turned out to be and the accomplishments they achieved in their lifetimes?

Interesting.

I guess you could place the reproduction and sandwich making in with the development of the country. However, the scope is quite limited.

So should we give each race their own bathrooms and water fountains too?
