Former Georgia Southern defensive lineman Troy Pikes announced his commitment to South Carolina on Tuesday.

The 6-foot-3, 290-pounder from Atlanta, Ga., entered the transfer portal after the 2024 season and garnered interest from programs such as Georgia and Ohio State.

During the 2024 season, he appeared in all 13 games for Georgia Southern, starting in one of them. He logged 331 snaps—299 on defense and 32 on special teams—recording 13 tackles, including half a tackle for loss, and a quarterback hurry.

Pikes is expected to contribute immediately for the Gamecocks in 2025.
