According to 247Sports, defensive tackle Trent Thompson of Albany, GA (Westover) is the new No. 1 prospect in the 247 Composite Rankings which were released Monday afternoon. Per FanSided.com,
quote:LSU commit Kevin Toliver II was the previous No. 1 in the Composite Rankings. The top ranking is likely to change, but for now Trent Thompson is No. 1.
The 6-4, 292-pound recruit already holds offers from some of the elite programs in college football with the defensing champion Florida State Seminoles, Alabama Crimson Tide, Auburn Tigers, Georgia Bulldogs, Michigan State Spartans, Florida Gators and Tennessee Volunteers among his offers.
Thompson has named Georgia as his leader, but Auburn and Florida State have hosted Thompson for unofficial visits on multiple occasions could be viewed as the top early challengers for Georgia to land Thompson.
