While appearing on The McElroy and Cubelic show, ESPN's Paul Finebaum discussed the possibility of two SEC coaches being fired this season: Florida's Billy Napier and Arkansas' Sam Pittman. Per The Spun:
quote:
“When you look at the next four or five games, even if you win one of those…then you are back to square one, and the odds of Billy Napier winning all four of those games is pretty close to zero,” Finebaum said.
Napier isn’t the only head coach in Finebaum’s firing sights.
The ESPN college football analyst believes that Arkansas head coach Sam Pittman could get fired soon, too.
“Win home games,” Finebaum said. “If you can win your home games, I think he’s okay. If he starts losing a game against either (Texas) A&M or Missouri and Notre Dame, then you’re going to have a losing season or a .500 season. Which isn’t enough for me.”
