Per SEC Sports: Hoover, AL -- The second round of the 2025 SEC Baseball Tournament came to a close Thursday morning, as 6-seed Auburn's wait to take the field finally came to an end. But it was a quick Hoover experience for the Tigers as 14-seed Texas A&M showed up prepared on all fronts.

Kaeden Kent was key for the Aggies offensively, going yard with two runners on in the third inning to set up a 3-0 advantage. He's homered three times in the past five games, a significant turnaround on his conference competition after hitting just four homers in his first 27 games vs. SEC opponents. Kent was also the first to leave the yard on Cam Tilley's splitter this season -- an impressive feat considering he'd thrown 178 splitters going into today.

With Justin Lamkin starting things off on the hill, Auburn endured four scoreless innings. Lamkin seems keen on Hoover Metroplitan Stadium considering his only other SEC tourney outing occurred in 2023 South Carolina when he pitched seven shutout innings with nine strikeouts.
