OMAHA – The No. 3 Texas A&M Aggies grabbed the upper hand in the College World Series Final, taking the opener of the best-of-three battle against the No. 1 Tennessee Volunteers, 9-5, Saturday evening at Charles Schwab Field.
Kaeden Kent continued his magical postseason run, slugging 3-of-4 with one home run and four RBI. After driving in 14 runs in his first 16 games, he has 14 RBI in his six Super Regional and College World Series games.
The Aggie offense batted .474 (9-for-19) with runners on base and .333 (5-for-15) with runners in scoring position.
