Record 13 SEC Teams Selected For NCAA Baseball Tournament

Per SEC Sports: BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (May 26, 2025)-----A record 13 Southeastern Conference baseball teams have been selected to compete for the 2025 NCAA Division I Baseball Championship, according to an announcement Monday by the NCAA Division I Baseball Committee.
This marks the first time 13 teams from any conference have earned NCAA Baseball Tournament bids. The previous record was 11 SEC teams a year ago.
SEC squads earned the top four seeds and six of the top-seven in the 64-team field. SEC Tournament champion Vanderbilt was selected as the No. 1 overall seed, followed by SEC regular season champion Texas. Arkansas earned the No. 3 seed, Auburn earned the No. 4 seed, LSU earned the No. 6 seed and Georgia earned the No. 7 seed. Ole Miss is seeded 10th, while Tennessee is seeded 14th.
Other SEC schools that earned bids include Alabama, Florida, Kentucky, Mississippi State and Oklahoma.
The top 16 national seeds in order are Vanderbilt, Texas, Arkansas, Auburn, North Carolina, LSU, Georgia, Oregon State, Florida State, Ole Miss, Clemson, Oregon, Coastal Carolina, Tennessee, UCLA and Southern Miss. Read more.
