Per SEC Sports: Hoover, AL. - After a weather postponement pushed Game 4 of the 2025 SEC Baseball Tournament from Wednesday evening to Thursday morning, the Aggies arrived to the Hoover MET well-rested and eager. Fourteen-seed Texas A&M brushed off 11-seed Mississippi State with a dominant 9-1 victory, advancing to the second round.
Jace LaViolette's second-inning grand slam was the highlight of the Aggies' offensive clinic. It marked the 26th grand slam in SEC Tournament history and Texas A&M's first in the tourney. However, it was the Aggies' 11th of the season for the most by a team in Division I this season.
For LaViolette, the big swing matched him with Florida's Brendan Lawson for most grand slams by an SEC player this season (three).
The six-run second frame really set the tone for the first-round win and was Texas A&M's third-most scored in an inning in an SEC tournament game.
