If he is going to fix the phone with only a liquid solution then there better be some small nano robots doing some repairing of those shorted boards.

Sorry if insulted your buddy's scheme...but damn this is common sense.

How would it still be shorted? Do you know what a short is?

If it was shorted by water, then dried, it is no longer shorted by water. Do you understand that concept?

The pic you posted is from this site:

LINK

quote:

Below are the phones that was brought in after the phone stopped working after the customers thought they saved the phone by putting it in the rice or using hair dryer after water spillage and used it for a while.

Along with some other pictures.

quote:

Unfortunately, rice is not an effective solution a couple of reasons. Rice has a low capacity for atmospheric absorption. It may absorb the liquid water on the case, but our real problem are the tiny drops inside.

After a "spill":
quote:

Corrosion and minerals that build up on the circuit is the most common cause for your phone not functioning properly.
Because there is still water in there.

That burned out shite happens when people continue using the phone because they thought is was dried out, but still had moisture in it.

If the phone gets dropped in water, and you get 95% of the moisture out with rice, and it turns on, and you think everything is peaches and cream, then shite happens like those pictures because there is still some moisture in there, it's because you didn't use my family member's secret formula to neutralize existing H2O into non-conductive compound.

Thanks for the website brother.
