2002. We ould have played in the BCs game had we converted a third down against Florida or not had a 15 yard personal foul for sexually assaulting a uf d-lineman (would have made the fg). I'm not mad at Edward's dropped pass, because if he team had inverted one third down, we'll it wouldn't have mattered. Interestingly, UGA only converted one third down last Sat. by way of penalty. Mitchell's TD was on a third down, as well.
To sum it up, teams play for MNCs who win their way to the game, not because ey got more love than UGA.

No. Elite teams take care of business all the time. Good teams take care of business most of the time. Average teams, some of the time. We are good, not elite but not average.

We matched up well vs Florida after the defense stepped up for just the second time this season; the other time against Vandy. We knew we had the better offense. The stats clearly revealed this. Turns out our offense was only slightly better (just 1 3rd down conversion due to a penalty) against Florida's solid defense than Florida's average offense was against our ramped up defense. They had 3 more TO's which was the difference in the game and we were able to run better than they were which helped also.

I honestly think you would argue anything. I simply used your own logic - which made sense.
Let me break this down for you - we are good against average teams, we take care of business usually and show up to play.
But against good teams we are simply average - meaning that we dont always get it done.
Now take this past game out of the mix and we have failed against ranked teams - hence the whole we are simply average against good teams.
I love how we beat a ranked UF team and suddenly the last two years of frick ups against ranked teams are erased.
