Instead of reading part of Deeprig’s Post try reading all of it this time. The Kurds have been our allies a lot longer than you are aware of and we should have clipped him the first time we went there. I’d also support any action that went toward protect the Kurds.

There is no way to stabilize the Middle East. It's their culture that won't allow it, they do not want democracy. If we take down one genocidal leader, another takes its place. We killed Saddam, Iraq is still a shithole. We killed Bin Laden, Afghanistan is still a shithole. It's the way it will always be there.

I’m just curious since you two are so well versed in Iraq and it’s culture. How much time did you spend there? That question is for both of you naysayers.

Never been there. I've never been to Somalia either but I know enough about it to know it's a shithole. If you haven't been watching the past 30 years to know how fricked the Middle East is I don't know what to tell you. We killed a dictator, and tried to insert our form of government, it didn't work. THEY DO NOT WANT OUR GOVERNMENT OR OUR CULTURE. They want their society to be based on the Koran and Shariah Law. Let's just stay the frick out of it.

All Iraq had to do was not shoot at UN planes patrolling the no-fly-zones, every day, for years, after the ceasefire UN agreement from when they invaded Kuwait and genocided people.

My dad has been multiple times to Iraq during the war, didn't have good things to say. To each his own.

You shouldn't have to go to the ME to know that they don't want our system and that the entire area is a hotbed of war and terrorism. We have absolutely no reason to waste American lives on such a futile effort. This war on terror is no different then the war against communism. Just war pigs making up a reason to invade a place so they can reap the profits

You speak for every single person there? You know there’s Iranians that struggle for democracy every day right? The Kurds seem to like our systems. Not all Arabs are evil heathens as you seem to have them stereotyped as. What about the Iraqi Christians? You seemed to forgot about a few.
