The real problem here is special teams play.

Absolutely. Not OVERLY concerned about the rest. Well, I am hoping our defense will become average by years end and the SECCG, if we make it.

No running away from it. N. Texas was not an easy win. But, it WAS an easy win if you take the two special teams snafus away. Georgia has never been a team (That I remember) to roll 70 points up on anybody. I have noticed that some teams do...and some teams just NEVER do. Georgia rarely does. Why? I have no idea. Some teams just don't. Is it the play calling? Is it being prepared? is it because we don't give up plays for the next week? Who knows. Whatever it is, we just don't put a face plant on teams....or very rarely do. I agree. I do not think playing to stay away from injury is a reason...for the same reasoning you said. Gurley was in the game too long. I was wishing they would let Marshall, Green, and the rest of the guys had taken over after the half. But, I must admit, when Green got his chance he showed something. He looked good getting to and around the corner. Showed lots of speed, and we need that.
