Basketball recruiting is a weird animal that you can impact without a head coaching change. We need to get someone who is heavily involved (preferably in the least sketch way) with the Atlanta AAU scene either on staff as an assistant coach or in the program as some sort of "Director of Basketball Recruiting" position.

All that is not to say that I think Fox is the long term answer for this head coaching job, because the jury is still out on that for me.

If I'm not mistaken, I'm pretty sure Fox coached with Trent Johnson, and that is exactly how Johnson feels. It's why we fired his arse. (or let him go to TCU)

Yep. You have to be able to recruit in college ball now, and that means connections to AAU.

It's why we are excited about the future of LSU basketball, because Coach Jones is a great recruiter.
