I think what frustrated everybody, myself included, was our run defense was extremely disappointing. On the flip side, our secondary was pretty stout. Stokes had a game today. I'm guilty of over-reacting, but those chunks they kept getting right up the middle on the ground were infuriating.

Dude, they're a bad football team. We played poorly, but a win is a win. The only positive today is we're 4-0, 2-0 in the conference, and have tie break advantage over Mizzou and South Carolina.

Everybody needs to calm the frick down. We played like shite today. It happens. In years past this was a bed shitting and a sure fire loss. This team has talent but we went on the road for an 11 am start against a shitty opponent with a good qb, played awful and still beat them. Offensive tds, defensive Tds, what does it matter? we capitalized on their mistakes and found a way to survive another week. That’s what great teams do. Bet we break it off in UT next week at home.

Nobody is going to calm down just because you ask them to. You’re going to have to mock them and throw out insults.

This is how college football works.

My early betting recommendation for next week is the UNDER in UGA/UT

Saw a couple posts on the mizzou board talking about how good this team is.. even saying a for sure playoff contender... all in the eye of the beholder I guess.

You’d think they’d fix that embarrassing grass endzone with the rocks in it first. But the construction was all on the other one

Jury still out. I’m going to get a lot of down votes but i think we win the east but get beat by bama in a seccg game that starts out close but finishes not so close.

I think if SECCG was next week Bama would be favored by 21.5

But it’s not and the difference is that fields will be playing by then and we’ll blow Bama out.

*that was my heart speaking. My brain says I’m full of shite.

He isn't going to be playing much at all. If he couldn't get in during South Carolina and Mizzou when Fromm was stinking, he's not going to get a real chance. The dude will transfer sooner rather than later.

We damn sure need a 2 qb system and a lot more of fiels dual threat to spark this offense off. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, Chubb and Michel were the leaders on offense last year. Fromm is a smart kid and makes good decisions but he keeps looking like the game at Jordan-hare where Chubb and Michel got keyed on and shut down and he had nowhere to go. Just doesn’t look the same without those guys back there. Hell didn’t Sony call his own audible in the rose bowl and score on the play?

Much like pre-Kiffin Saban, Kirby wants ultra conservative, ball control offense.

It is what it is. Fromm is very safe. He will not be benched at any point.

I don’t see why they can’t just put Fields in every time we get in the red zone
But seriously 20-30% of the game seems reasonable to someone who’s still trying to get a hold on the playbook.

Did fields play more than that one red zone first down? I thought I saw him in the third at one point.

I tend to agree with this. What was the spread? The game might not have been the blowout we wanted, but it was a 14 point win. We didn't blow them out, but it gives Kirby something to light into the team about to get their attention.
Most of us thought next year would be our year. People need to stop overreacting.

The team is good. Maybe not playoff worthy, but good. But, if Kirby gets their attention and they improve with experience we very well could be playoff worthy by the end of the year. We play in the East so we have the luxury of time.

That is all well and good against Mizzou and South Carolina, but it won't suffice against LSU, Bama, or Auburn. It also means Fields will simply transfer.
