Mac Jones doesn't have that year without probably the best offensive line in the last 10 years, Devonte Smith or Najee Harris.

In fairness, Devonte Smith wouldn't have won the Heisman if the OLine had not been good. Najee Harri would not have had as good a year. Alabama would not have go 13-0 without Smith, the oline of Mac Jones. A supporting cast matters to anybody thta has a great year.

Just for reference...who do you think deserved POY? You mentioned Trask...but would he have had as good a year without Kyle Pitts?

Outside of Pitts and Tony, Trask had a terrible supporting cast. If Waddle doesn't break his leg, I would almost bet money Mac Jones wins the Heisman. If Waddle broke his leg before the UGA game, UGA is at the very least in that game in the 4th if not winning.

Picking someone that deserves that award is hard because statistics never tell the whole story. JT had pretty good stats last year but they don't tell you that he habitually under threw deep balls. Last season I'm not really sure who I would've gone with for UGAs OPOTY. It was such a disjointed season for us.

Outside of possibly the best TE in football at any level? A TE that was selected 4th overall in the NFL draft?

Did you watch the game they played against Oklahoma without that supporting cast?

All you are proving is thta every great player has an excellent supporting cast, whether it is the OLine, RBs, Receivers...whatever.

I agree 100%. I think the ebst player rarely gets the award. (Heisman) So many players with a ton of talen and lesser supporting cast gets overlooked because they do not have that supporting cast. But doesn't that support what I am saying?

I saw that, too. I chalked that up (in large part) to his not being as familiar with his receivers and their abilities. He had not played in over a year. He was rusty with a new set of people. he was late throwing the ball several times and therefore under threw his receivers often on deep routes. But, if you look at those under throws....many of them had really good distance. He was just late delivering the ball so his receivers outran his arm. Not because his arm is not good, but because his timing was way off. Hopefully he is working with the receivers and they can build a chemistry.

Yes, it was. 3 different QBs started and the best of the lot rusty as all get out.

Hey. You could be right and I could be dead wrong. (It wouldn't be the first time) I am just saying how it looked to me.

I was just giving my opinion. I don't really care if it's right or wrong. I don't really care who wins what awards. I'm just excited it's almost here.
