Can't believe they are convincing a third TE to commit. I know Prothro could be an X, but that room is stacked in every class on campus already

Word is Prothro wants to be an X and will move to TE if his body naturally can’t stay light enough.

Well, not so surprising considering we actually use our tight ends.

What does this supposedly mean for Prothro and our chances? Prothro will play in the NFL for as long as he wants. That guy can move!

Right now we have 14 seniors and 3 of them were walk-ons. CJ Allen and Everette are the only ones with high draft grades, even though I imagine Freeling will get in there eventually. In other words, there will be all sorts of moving parts starting in December and it will be interesting to see what happens, for better or worse.

I was talking about the TE position specifically. It’s crowded and they keep adding more. Delp will be out of eligibility. Luckie will also be draft eligible but word is he wants to stay for Sr. season as of now. Heinrich has been mentioned on other boards as someone who could move on for more playing time after this season.

By my count, there are 14 Sr. and the only ones that were walk ons that contribute are Cash Jones and the long snapper Beau Gardner.

Kirby is the best at roster management and it’s not particularly close. Trust the process.

I'm no Gil Brandt, but I have a feeling that the new tight end from Milton is going to be dynamite and catch a bunch of touchdowns for us. He'll probably get on the field first as a blocker. Brooks Austin says he has the strongest hands of any pass catcher we've had since Pickens.

Also I saw Eliyss Williams play basketball as a ninth grader and thought that he must be one hell of a linebacker in football, and I still contend that he's a linebacker.

Kid must be deadset on playing tight end and made that clear to coaches is all I can figure. However that doesn't mean that our defensive coaches won't be checking him out in practice like a perfect 10 walking through the quad.
