According to you, that's a "2nd year player". To include them would make A&M's total 9.
The only team who has significantly fewer 1st and 2nd year players starting than A&M is Mississippi State.

So you included several for other teams but none for us? For being so obsessed with data you sure do a terrible job of presenting a valid set of it. I didn't even check if those guys were starters either, I'm sure there's plenty of mistakes there

when proven you posted blatantly wrong info, instead of saying my bad, you are now shamelessly moving the goalposts

Actually you did at the very start.
I showed our depth chart in relation to the recruiting class those players came from which you have yet to refute.
Our current starting lineup is:
Hill (2013)
Williams (2011)
RSJ (2013)
Reynolds (2014)
Pope (2012)
Noil (2014)
Ogbuehi (2010)
Harrison (2010)
Matthews (2012)
Gramling (2010)
Ifedi (2012)
Garrett (2014)
Williams (2012)
Robinson (2010)
Obioha (2012)
Bass (2011)
Mastrogiovanni (2013)
Baggs (2011)
Everett (2011)
Davis (2013)
Watts (2014)
Matthews (2011)
Lambo (2012)
Kaser (2011)
That shows we have 8 starters who are in their 1st or second year in the program.
You tried to refute it with Hall, who is the same position as Garrett, making it a zero sum. You then tried with Walker, who lost his starting spot to a 5th year senior after the Rice game and never retained it. You then tried with Walker also a zero sum since Mastrogiovanni is a 2nd year player. You tried with Shaan Washington, who hasn't started all season.

sorry bud but you posted Garrett and his # of starts, trying to minimize his impact. The fact is that the guy he took over for is also in this category. You've counted so many different ways now I don't know what your point is, but you can't list Garrett's starts and then ignore DaeDae
Your premise to this thread is that we are not a young team. It's a dumb premise. Hell you basically prove it wrong in the OP
Our roster is made up of the last 5 classes. Because the NCAA counts awarding of scholarships to 1st or 2nd year players towards the 25 limit, it isn't done. So you are counting former walk-ons in the top 3 classes and not in the last 2, so it's skewed anyway. But assuming the OP is fair and accurate (which based on latter posts, maybe is a bad assumption)
Per your own numbers in the OP, 42 of 73 players are from the last 2 classes. That's 57.5% from 2 of 5 classes. And I'm not really sure how you get 49 in the 2-deep, but again, per your numbers 22 of 49 are from the last 2 classes, or 45%.
That's young no matter how you slice it.

Bass is both a starter and a backup, hence the uneven #.

Noil only started against Lamar, Rice, and Arkansas. That's 3/7 games.

Garrett and Hall started 3 each. That's basically 1 starter.
