In general I thought there were quite a few mental errors on defense. I know that Kurt got caught looking inside for a touchdown pass the tight end. There were a few other times that both D ends got caught crashing and the BG QB read it and made them pay for it.
There were some legitimate plays made by the BG receivers and QB that were just great plays. We still made some mental errors back there too.
I think the speed of the game in the first start is part, but not all of it. Game speed and practice speed are very different. This shows up a lot in how much cushion you can give and reacting. This was a lot of our issues with the secondary. Notice that CS didn't have that problem? He is used to game speed.
Anyways, that's my interpretation of the events. At least with mental errors they can be corrected and everyone now has a taste of game speed.
