He had turned his life around and remained a VFL. He was a son, a husband, and a father.
He was on his way to drill with the National Guard.
Prayers to his family.

(WBIR-Knoxville/GoVols247) Former Tennessee linebacker Daniel Brooks died early Sunday morning in a one-car accident in Clinton according to govols247.com.
Brooks, originally from Jackson, Tennessee and was a highly touted prospect coming out of high school at Jackson Central-Merry.

Brooks was dismissed from Tennessee and finished his playing career at Jackson State in Mississippi.
He later returned to Knoxville to finish his degree.
Upon graduating, Brooks became a law enforcement officer and enlisted in the Army National Guard.
Former Vol Jayson Swain, host of “The Swain Event” is mourning the loss.
“Daniel loved his friends and family and would do anything for them. He loves Tennessee football with a passion. Daniel was my roommate, my best friend, my brother. He was a great father and he served our great country” said Swain.
Brooks was 31 years old. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
