Or you could just keep your opinion to yourself and quit thinking we care about what you will accept or won't accept.

Hint. We don't care what you will accept.

Cool.

That doesn’t change he is a 4*. Please accurately represent recruits in this forum.

There are what - 30 5-stars in most classes but then 200+ 4 stars. Why are there so many 4 stars - they have cheapend the ranking because there is such a wide disparity between the top and the bottom

I do. And I don't have to if I don't want to. You are just lucky that I was being accurate in this instance. But hey. You can be Mr. Eagle Eye and go check everything if you want.

Approx 32-34. They try to make a 5* the players who they think have the talent to go in the first round.

Each class of ranking 4*, 3*, 2* etc have a larger grouping. Remember there are thousands upon thousands of high school football players in the country. 200 is a pretty small number in the grand scheme of things.

Show me the rules. A link. Not just a quote of something you said.

Yeah but calling a guy ranked #35 and one ranked #250th the same caliber player - most of the time - isn’t gonna be apples-to-apples. Maybe they need more classifications.

A thought crossed my mind. There are close to a hundred thousand high school football seniors. I'm sure there are waaaaaayyyyy more than 200 or 300 that deserves 4* ratings.

I get what you are saying, and I am not saying you are necessarily wrong, but look at it another way...

Right at 974,000 kids played high school football in 2021.
I don't think there can be a huge difference in #35 and #200 or even #400, for that matter. Obviously there have been some that were not rated properly...in fact, I would say probably tons. I mean can the services see 974,000 kids?
They probably don't see 1/10 of those, and most of those from camps and going to a few games from word of mouth.

The only reason #35 seems like a huge gap to #200 is because we are only considering the top 165 or so players. When you are talking about a sample size of 974,000 I can't imagine there being some huge gap until you get down in the much less talented kids.

Makes you wonder how many very talented kids get left off P5 rosters, though because they don't attend a camp or get word of mouth. I would guess the rankings go into the thousands of kids, though.

It's an interesting topic you brought up.

And 970,000 kids playing high school football. I meant to make this point last evening but a storm came through and knocked out my electricity. We are on the same page. With so many kids 200-300 4* seems small and the gap between them is small IF the recruiting services are evaluating them correctly. It's one reason there are so many hidden gems out there.
