Is he playing in the Under Armor AA Game?
ESPN likes to inflate the rankings of kids that are playing in the Under Armor Game. It makes it appear that more 'elite' kids play in their game.
Just look at your teams commits. I bet the ones playing in the Under Armor Game are rated higher on ESPN than any other recruiting service.

I'm not talking about just your quarterback. I'm talking about all recruits. Those that are playing in the UA game are rated higher by ESPN than they are by other recruiting services.

For example, Rashard Lawrence is playing in the Under Armor Game. On 247, he is the #22 overall player and on Rivals he is the #96 overall player. On ESPN, he is the #7 overall player.
Each of the top 7 players in the ESPN300 are playing in the UA Game.
Shea Patterson is playing in the Army Game. He is the #5 overall player on 247 and the #3 overall player on Rivals. On ESPN, he's all the way down at #18 overall.
Stuff like that is what makes ESPN a piece of shite when it comes to rankings. They don't research players, they rank them based off where they are playing their all star game.
