Oh, and Bama isn't even No.2 for his services either. That would be USC

if you say so

we offer just as great a chance of getting drafted in the first round as any school

Would have to disagree there, lsu hasn't had a first round back since what, addai?

I'll give you that, but Jameis Winston spent more time in tuscaloosa than Tallahassee...that's not always a tell as much as a convenience

Not a flame, but today Alabama's are better and it's not debatable

we have a new exciting offensive coordinator

Good grief, the dude hasn't called a single play at lsu yet

we will likely offer his brother Lanard

I don't know why unless they're desperate to get leonard, at this point Lanard isn't an upper echelon SEC caliber player

we are right down the road from his family and home

No debating that, but to play devil's advocate here kids of every shape and size leave the nest for college.

Deep down most of you know that Alabama is a threat or else you wouldn't bother with threads like these. The more "LSU lock" is repeated by the masses the better it makes the masses feel.

I think in the end leonard will sign with lsu, but I also think that Leonard himself doesn't know it yet

And the more you keep saying Alabama is a threat you might start believing that. USC is a bigger threat than Alabama

I'm going off of what people have been saying. He enjoyed his stop there on the way to the Opening. But like Michigan, distance is going to be too much of a factor. I think it'll be interesting to see if he really does take the OV's he says he plans on taking. The only time he's really left the south was to go to the Opening. He recently canceled a visit to Michigan for this very reason.

True. But I was talking more about LSU's draft history in general. Other than Hill now, we really haven't had a huge talent that broke away from the pack in recent years.

Pretty much a wash between the two. Have to agree there. Will come down to who Leonard has a better personal relationship with, or more accurately, his dad.

Ah, I remember Jaboo. Could of sworn he was going to LSU for a period of time during his recruitment.

That's what having Saban and a hungry booster base will do for you. Same exact thing happened when he came to LSU. But LSU's facilities are still top of the line.

Just going off of his pedigree, you have to think he'll be an improvement over what we've had recently.

I think he'll end up getting his offer during next summer or maybe this fall. He'll end up at DB.

True, but Leonard loves Louisiana and New Orleans. I'm sure Leonard would like to be able to take a short drive down to NO to visit his friends and family. Also, Leonard has said being near and directly involved in his brother's life is very important to him.

They're a threat no doubt. Maybe 10-15% though along with USC. And I could say the same for every fanbase. We like to be told what we want to hear.

Wrong and wrong

Falkins didn't have LSU offer so you didn't pull him LSU.

Try again

Are you telling me that Landon Collins isn't from New Orleans or that he didn't have an lsu offer?

Eh, technically he was from Dutchtown when y'all recruited him. If he would have played ball in NOLA he would have been much harder to pull for y'all.

ETA: And I think as Leonard gets closer to his decision date it'll be more of a two horse race between LSU and Bama due to distance.

So, just so i'm clear...the countless times i've read about an lsu recruit displaced by katrina living in texas, or arkansas, or mississippi, their name is never mentioned without saying "plus he's from new orleans"

Which is right? Landon Collins is from New Orleans pal
