So all that crap about A&M having no real interest in Whaley after you got 2 commits was hogwash?

I think it has more to do with one of our current commits (Rakeem Boyd LINK ) toying with the idea of taking visits as well as having grade concerns. That is why we got back on board with Pennamon and Darious Anderson( LINK )
We need some insurance policies in case Boyd backs out or doesn't qualify. At the time we stopped recruiting Whaley and decided not to accept his commitment anymore (because he took too long and Boyd beat him to it), we though we were set at RB, but as do many things in the recruitment process for 17-18 year olds... things changed.

I'm not sure if we have given up on that yet. I know Saban hasn't. He was visiting with Pennamon in Houston today.
We also have a freshman RB, Jay Bradford, who may not return to football after an undisclosed illness. We could be taking a 3rd RB this class just in case that happens.

Looks like he changed his mind and will be visiting Mizzou now anyway.
