I think his point was comparing A&M to other SEC schools. If a kid from the West wants to play in the SEC, A&M has a lot to offer. It's closest and you can fly direct from Houston to just about anywhere in California at a reasonable price. Texas is more diverse than much of the South, even if CS itself isn't San Diego. CS is still just 60 miles from Houston though and about half the team is from there or DFW so its not like all the players are country bumpkins. The type of offense A&M runs also is closer to West Coast oriented systems.

The memphis kids are more likely to go to arkansas or ole miss than tennessee. And with vandys recent sucess who is to say they wont pull the nashville kids.

This is a pretty big generalization. Breaking down the elite kids
1. Rico McGraw (Nashville) - Tennessee/Bama battle
2. Drew Richmond (Memphis) - Tennessee/Ohio State battle
3. Kyle Phillips (Nashville) - Vandy leads
4. Jauan Jennings (Murfreesboro) - Depends on who lets him play QB
5. Donovan Sheffield (Nashville) - Vandy Commit
6. Josh Smith (Murfreesboro) - Vandy/Tennessee battle
You could also make a case for Sanders, Amadi, and Jones being elite I guess.
