Don't forget him saying we got only 1 of the top 5 last year.

Just for clarification.

quote:

Chris Jones was hands down the best player in MS last year, Aeris Williams is this year. Buchanan and Moore will both be lucky to ever see the field, I wouldn't consider either of them top 5 in the state, and I don't think scout did either.

Yeah, and again, if you really think Kalio or Buchanan were top 5 quality then you're free to keep believing.

*Apparently I did mention 4 years from now, my bad.

What does this even mean? They were ranked in the top 5 (or 6 since you love scout) for mississippi prospects by every service. So yes they were top 5 quality coming out of highschool in mississippi.

It's obviously useless to continue this argument. You're the type to be caught on camera stealing and still deny it.

It means that I think most people who watched them play throughout the process would agree that they weren't that great.

Kalio has potential but is what, the number 4 or 5 scat back on your roster? I wasn't that impressed when he was committed to state, if he had stuck here and OM landed Shumpert I would say the same thing. Solid 3* prospect but the fact that he was rated a 4* is laughable.

Buchanan played MS Private School ball, meaning he was evaluated against virtually no competition.

Edit: His strengths on scout were listed as Intangibles, Awareness, and Size. His weaknesses are Accuracy, Consistency, and Ball Handling. All the things State generally looks for in a QB, we should have been all over him.

No, I was wrong about the Scout rankings.

Kailo = Graham = overhyped for where they actually are based on speed displayed at camps mostly away from pads and contact. Hope I'm wrong on Graham.

Nick Saban saw enough in him to offer him FWIW

Well...considering he's a flex/slot guy for us......that's not a bad spot on the roster for a scat back.

There are also rumors that he's moving to defense. So there's that.

Sooooooo not good enough to get on the field at his position?

Doesn't matter what position he plays. What if he becomes a 3 time first team all-sec CB? Will he not validate his MS Top 5 HS ranking because he switched position?

Please don't answer that question...I don't feel like losing faith in humanity right now
