Manziel certainly looked more focused in these last 2 games and spent a lot less time trying to do it all himself. Though clearly Bama is a HUGE upgrade one pretty amazing stat:

In the first half of the last 2 games A&M ended every drive with either a TD or FG Attempt, 12 drives in all. It didn't slow down much in the 2nd half either, just brought in a lot more 2nd and 3rd teamers so the stats aren't as relevant once the dogs are called off.

Bama may well shut down JFF but if he can clean up the mistakes he made against LSU anything can happen.

FWIW, I actually think it is an advantage for this game to be at Bama. There is absolutely no pressure on A&M to win and Bama may actually relax a bit. It's not like Kyle would make Bama piss their pants anyway. The best chance for A&M is for Bama to take them too lightly. Bama has the better overall talent but they have to shift to a completely new scheme to stop A&M and have only a few days to do it.

JFF is electric. I can't wait to see him test our defense. All this great competition is giving our young guys great experience. I love CFB!
