Officials are graded weekly.
I'm aware they're graded, but show me where it's public? Show me where any accountability happens.
Every other single person in football that sucks in at their job - from the lowest GA to the head coach and every player is held to public account.
Officials are not and to even criticize a blatant, game changing error results in punishment. Heck, go outside of sports. You can look up how many times a judge gets overturned on appeal. In most states you can look up when a medical professional is disciplined.
Officials? No accountability at all and that's the entire crux of the problem.

It’s going to take hiring full time refs like the NFL.
What makes you think NFL officials are full-time?
Jerome Boger is an insurance underwriter with Allstate.
Clete Blakeman is a personal injury attorney.
Carl Cheffers is in sales.
Land Clark is the chief building official for the citer of Albuquerque.
Adrian Hill is an aerospace software engineer at Johns Hopkins.
And those are just the white hats.
Seriously...an aerospace software engineer? A top personal injury attorney who's a partner in his firm? You're going to have to pay guys like that a big chunk of money to employ them full-time.

Annual Pay - $50,000?
Mark Curles is a financial advisor for Bridgeworth Wealth Management.
You seriously think you're only gonna pay $50,000?

Does not seem worth to be an SEC ref. Many jobs you can make the same amount and not have your life threatened regularly.
It's a hobby, not a full time job.
