Well I'm learning something. I always knew y'all were the Tigers, your battle cry was "war eagle," and the plainsmen was a nickname/newspaper. I never got what a battle cry was used for. I mean, whatever city I'm in if I see someone wearing LSU gear I'll say "Geaux Tigers!" but it's more of a greeting than a "battle cry."
War Eagle is used the same way. Just depends on when and where. Battle cry, greeting, exclamation of joy.

Did he tell you that you could go sleep at home that night if you could get up and walk away?
If so... I might know you...

Notice the blood dripping from its mouth. It's always dripping like that. I don't think he would bite his tongue that much. I'm sure it's from all the murdering he does...

I staggered back to the underground
And the breeze blew back my hair
I remember throwin' punches around
And preachin' from my chair

I remember throwin' punches around
And preachin' from my chair

Auburn has never been known as "The Plainsmen"
We were actually the Plainsmen from 1892 - 1894, until Heisman renamed us the Tigers.
