Bama fans, you can keep your cupcake game with Tennessee; just give up the cupcake game winning the division for you.
Permanent cross-division games don't count for division titles.
How do you feel about this solution?
The silence from the Bama fans is deafening.
I'm pretty sure every bama fan has said they don't give a frick as long as we can still play the game.

What we are very tired of is all of the whining y'all do about it every day multiple times a day especially when no one heard you say much of anything before the season started when Florida was perceived as a relatively easy game.
Florida didn't lose the division title for LSU last year; however, the Florida game did lose the divisional title game for TAM last year.
By playing all the permanent cross-division games, everybody gets their desired matchup each year, and by not counting those games for division title purposes, any disparity is prevented.
Tell me what an SEC fan would have against this suggested rule.
The ironic thing about this subject is that I get even less response from the LSU posters on the Tiger Rant.
At least the Bama fans understand what I am talking about. the LSU posters are totally clueless and can't even give me a response at all.
We can talk about whether I am a Buckeye fan or Tiger fan later.

Discuss? Too obvious. Not good at this at all.

If it remains that, for example, each west team plays two east teams (one perma-cross-division, one rotating), it seems like it would be very odd if a game A&M plays against Florida counts toward our conference record but the game LSU plays against them doesn't count. If you just say count only the division games, you may as well not even play the rotating opponent.
I believe that it either needs to stay the same or teams have to get rid of their permanent cross division opponents; the second won't happen, so nothing will change imo.

Every major sports body in the world uses overall record to determine their champion, not divisional record.
Divisional record is used as a tiebreaker in all sports, including the SEC.
If you idiots had your way the NFL division champions would be based on 6 games and the other 10 would glorified exhibitions.
