Keep Arky and USC. Add UT, A&M and OU ...Clemson, GT and FSU. Super Conference. Forget Tulane.

I think Arky should focus more on getting to the post-season should they not? Half of D1 gets to a bowl game these days, too bad Arky cant get in the top half of D1. As for your basketball team.. even SC got into the NIT. As long as we're talking about SEC records.. how far below a .500 SEC mark was Arky in basketball this year?

yep. it would also provide a real rivalry in the SEC for LSU.

What he meant to say is that Tulane would be a real money drain on the SEC, especially for LSU.

meh. tulane obviously wouldn't win many, but it would probably be enough to keep some contempt present that isn't there currently. it would be a better rivalry than the faux, contrived one that the SEC has attempted to create between LSU and arkansas.

I hate all of you guys.
I say we just kick you all out of the SEC. We could be SEC champs every year, biotch.
Seriously, why is it always "kick out Arkansas"? Why not MSU or Vandy? What the frick have they done the past infinity?

Because You and USClite aren't founding members.
Posted on 6/20/09 at 3:30 pm to pankReb
So you would rather keep 2 sucky athletic schools instead of 2 decent athletic schools?
Yeah, that makes sense.
Yeah, that makes sense.

Didn't say i did or it did. But that's the way it is until the SEC falls apart.
The founding members are here to stay until the end.
Just face it......you guys are adopted. Your real parents died long ago.......

i noticed a few people when making their decisions are a little too narrow minded...the only thing they seem to be taking into account is football
tbh...south carolina is essentially worthless in everything
they dont bring academic credibility to the conference, they dont have a long history, they pretty much have no history of winning
i mean, i guess you'd keep them if you held equestrian sports in high esteem

No. Tulane does not have enough of a fan base to be in the SEC. You have an announced attendance of 24,000 and the actual attendance is probably around 15,000. What benefit is it for the SEC to have Tulane? NONE.

meh again. if tulane was in the SEC there would probably be a stadium on or very near campus, which in turn would lead to higher attendance. and if the sec had a few better schools, like GT and TU, maybe the big 10's commissioner wouldn't be so quick to basically call the conference stupid

You had a stadium on campus. What happened to it? You tore it down.
There is no benefit for the SEC to add Tulane. Hell, it would be better to have Memphis in the SEC over Tulane.
The SEC is not in the business of providing welfare for you weenies. It's bad enough that LSU is playing y'all again in football. You don't even sell out your allotment of tickets to Tiger Stadium for that game.

you and reading comprehension don't get along well

We should trade the ACC USC for GT. We should trade the Big 12 Arkansas for Texas A&M. The Big 12 can then drop Iowa St. from the North division and add Arkansas. They then replace A&M for TCU.
The SEC still gets good athletic programs in the state, but adds two more respectable academic institutions.

Your comprehension on how business operates is lacking. Once again, what financial benefit would Tulane bring to the SEC? NONE.
