It doesn't matter that Vandy is better than you despite no history of success at football and very strict academics?

Let it go dude. There is nothing out there for you to grab on to to prove y'all aren't terrible.
It should be an embarrassment for y'all to be tied with us the past decade.

No the bad call was they had no way to see and prove where the ball was on the 4th and 1. When they review they have to have INDESPUTABLE EVIDENCE. There was none. I also got the play on DVR. Your R-tackle clearly false starts and it goes un-noticed. Not to mention a block in the back on the final VANDY touchdown by #53 on AJ JOHNSON. But like I said. You didn't dominate early. Not near as much as Tennessee has.
Obviously TENNESSEE leads 73 - 30 lol...
I'm sorry, but since when is someone's arse being across the yard marker for a first down while the ball is in their gut (at worst) not indisputable evidence? That block in the back on the TD is just not there. Bernstein (53) pulls and seals the end only touching the UT defender once when side-on then letting him move unimpeded to avoid blocking in the back.
As for not dominating early, Vandy went unbeaten in the first 13 meetings with UT only managing to tie in the 3rd. In that span, UT scored 20 points with games of 5, 9, and 6 points. Vanderbilt compiled a 19-2-3 record (losses by 2 and 4 points) against UT until Neyland pulled your program together which coincided with Vanderbilt's de-emphasis on sports and other measures like scholarship rules which hurt private institutions. I never said we dominated as much early as you all have since then. We've won the last 2 years though.

Might as well save your breath man. He doesn't know shite about football.

You would think I would know better. Back to the topic that's supposed to be discussed (HA!), I think the East is incredibly open. There's a chance some teams flop miserably and some could be playoff teams depending on how pieces fit in. Even teams like Vandy, UK, and UT could steal some games. UT and UK will be too young to really threaten, but I think they can snag a game or two. Vandy is really just in no man's land on how our secondary and WRs do.

You are a flaming total moron. Anyone who claims vandy the better program even after two wins is a total moron. If two wins makes a team the STATE PROGRAM than TENNESSEE is FOREVER the team of TENNESSEE. They always will be. Not to mention VANDY only represents NASHVILLE. Tennessee represents the whole state. Vandy is on a downward spiral. Gutted by Franklin lol... Anchor DOWN!!!! lol...
Vandy strict academics don't apply to the STUDENT ATHLETES, neither does UGA's. Both UGA & VANDY allow SPECIAL ADMISSIONS. TENNESSEE does not. So that means TN admissions are harder for student athletes moron. Yeah VANDY's standards are so high that they accepted a player that scored a 12 on the ACT

Idesputible EVIDENCE means it has to be proven without a doubt. If the ball is not on camera it is not without a doubt and therefore should have been ruled as not completed as on the field. Not to mention. Watch the play again. Watch the Right Tackle clearly false starts before the snap and is not noticed. Imagine that..

quote:Just admit Tennessee sucks right now and has since 2008. Your arguing is pointless. I've already posted all the facts, no shame in you admitting it. I can easily say out loud that USC used to suck but doesn't anymore. You should be able to say that Tennessee used to be a powerhouse but sucks now.

I should stop, but I can't. No one claimed that Vanderbilt football is a better program than UT. We simply pointed out that Vanderbilt is the better team right now. Please, before you answer, learn the difference. Program is tradition. Team is current (or can be used to point out a specific year and the corresponding team).
Also, Vanderbilt was not gutted. The new staff comes in with much better credentials than Franklin and his staff came in with along with quite a bit of talent, including the best 4 recruiting classes in Vanderbilt history (can only be confirmed since 2002, but trust me, we have more talent than ever and it's not close). This year we signed our 3rd (virtually tied with 2012 for 2nd behind 2013) including our highest rated signee ever.
I am intrigued by your claims about the academic side of things. I haven't done any research, but I know as of Franklin's first year, Vanderbilt did not offer athletic scholarships until a player had met and been accepted through the admissions office. What proof of this player receiving a 12 on the ACT though? That, I find incredibly unlikely.

Link? That would make him ineligible for D2. Let alone D1.

Since 2008 USC has been the much better team. Just admit y'all are terrible right now.

None. a 12 wouldn't even have him eligible for a D2 school.

You are just flat out fricking stupid.
VANDY & UGA allow SPECIAL ADMISSIONS, TENNESSEE does not. That means UGA & VANDY find ways for kids that are dumb as a box of rocks to still get admitted. Tennessee turns them away. Just like Craig Evans the Wisconsin DT that was going to TN until the coaches told him his grades wouldn't get him in. But he got in at Wisconsin.
No Vandy's strict admissions don't apply to student athletes. Same goes for UGA. When a school allows SPECIAL ADMISSIONs. It means they allow their student athletes to be admitted while not meeting the university's standards. I am still looking, but i'll locate the article proving Vandy accepted a player last year with a score of 13 on the ACT lol... TENNESSEE is 1 of 7 schools that don't allow SPECIAL ADMISSIONS. They need to say to hell with it, if other schools allow it then they are. They need to level the playing field.

A 12 can get you in through SPECIAL ADMISSIONS. Which is how vandy got this guy in. Both VANDY & UGA uses SPECIAL ADMISSIONS. TENNESSEE does not. Meaning it is harder for a STUDENT ATHLETE to get into TENNESSEE than vandy or uga. Pretty simple, really...

That's not quite true. If you know the ball is in a runner's hands and his entire upper body (with arm position clearly holding the ball to his chest, even if ball is blocked by runner's body), you know where the ball is. Are you really that desperate for a win over VANDY that you're grasping for a technicality? Also, what false start? I just watched the 4th down conversion and fake jump pass TD 10 times each. I don't see any movement early. On the TD, the ball is snapped, but there appears to be a slow Center to QB exchange, but the other linemen can move as soon as the ball moves, not when the QB has it.

Dude how fricking stupid are you. If we admit we are terrible then you should admit your team is terrible lol.. You lost to that team. Not smart to call them terrible. South Carolina is and all ways will be a never has been. Ole Steve is leaving soon and back to the shitter USCe goes..

In theory, could a recruit score a 12 on the ACT but score highly on the SAT and meet the requirement that way? I don't know, but it's possible someone was sick or something while taking the ACT but took the SAT while healthy, etc.
Posted on 2/21/14 at 1:47 am to DoreonthePlains
You moron. Indesputable mean that is has to be WITHOUT A DOUBT CLEAR AS DAY TO OVERTURN. The ball was not in sight. Not knowing where the ball is is not INDESPUTABLE. Thought vandy was a great educational school?
