I've had a good time. It REALLY helps that we sell beer now, in addition to carrying in airplane bottles, per usual. It was kind of eerie at first getting used to not much crowd noise. I honestly am so glad that there aren't many cowbells in the stadium. Not a fan of those damn things. It's nice to be able to spread out pretty much anywhere you want it. It's been much more laid back.

i went to both lsu games so far because i would still rather be in the stadium. watching on tv is no comparison to being there.

campus before the game is sad. no energy. no sounds. no life. having said that, the people who went to both lsu home games were there for the game. there was basically the same number of people at the last second as there was for the first. no sidewalk fans that's for sure. and btw, you can't sit where you want. the seats that weren't available for purchase are roped off.

the entire stadium is barricaded. in the past, you could walk all the way up to the gate. for the first game, fans had to complete a screening which was silly, just answer a few questions in the app. there are a handful of entrances around the stadium and you had to show your completed screening. the screening wasn't required for the second game so i'm not sure why the barricades were still up. the trump/bama game last year was like that but there was a serious tsa check so i get that. i'm getting the feeling the barricade is now a permanent fixture for games which would be really annoying.

in case you missed it in other discussions, lsu event staff have orwellian compliance "mask up" signs that they wave around in front of people. there are constant video reminders to comply. i would say more than half of everyone isn't wearing a mask in their seats

i found it interesting that there were state and scar fans at both games. players' families i'm sure but, still. they found a way to cut through all the c19 hurdles.

one thing that's puzzling. the golden girls usually have a feature during the halftime show. this year, there's just a video of them doing their feature that was recorded earlier in the week. i don't understand why they can't be on the field and have tiger band playing live. they put in a ton of work and their families never get to see them perform during a game. i supposed that's small potatoes compared to the millions of people who have lost their jobs and businesses.
