I can’t believe I’m agreeing with a Techie, but he is absolutely right. Anyone who can’t appreciate a beautiful city like Atlanta is free to leave. We Georgians and those of us lucky enough to have been born and raised in Atlanta don’t want you or need you here.
As my father once told an arrogant transplanted neighbor from the paradise that is NJ - “Delta is ready when you are and the expressway runs north as well as south so you shouldn’t have any problem leaving.”
Good advice and we all will be happier for it. We will even help you pack.

They went red last election*

There is absolutely no way that Biden won Georgia. It was stolen*. I truly believe that.

We lived there for three years and it was pretty miserable. Had to ride MARTA to work (to Grady). There were beatings at the bus stop right outside our condo. One block over from a nice older neighborhood could be completely crime infested.

We went back a couple of years later for kids club sports and stayed in a “nice” hotel in NE Fulton County. Woke up in the middle of the night to a man beating a hooker in the room next to us. Next day rode MARTA to the Coke museum and on the way got targeted by a laser. Coming out of the tunnel, we came across a woman who had just been mugged. I despise the town with a passion.

So it is majority black.

It's still the biggest demo, but I consider majority over 50%.

And saying that, the intown population has gentrified greatly the last 15 or so years.
