Same.

When I was attending Alabama, a 9 or 10 win season was great. In the Saban era, anything short of a national title has grumbling, but no playoff spot is a season where everyone asks what went wrong. And the odd thing is the 10 win season in 2005 somehow felt more exciting than a non-national title top 5 season in the current era.
It is not as fun at the top as everyone assumes. The climb is far more fun. Enjoy that Tennessee and UF fans.

The climb from an 0-6 start in 1988 to an 11-1 season in '89 was thrilling. Last year was the most fun I've had as a Tennessee football fan since the aughts.
Hopefully we are out of the abyss, but it will take at least 2 more seasons of stability under Heupel to make any definite conclusions. We're on our 6th coach since '08 and what this program needs is drama-free stability.

Beating Florida back to back is a huge plus for me.
I will be happy with 8 to 9 this year because next year is when I am expecting challenge for the SEC

A national championship. Anything less is failure.
