Don't patronize me.
Just because you have experienced natural disasters affecting games doesn't mean y'all "know they drill".
Things are bad but they are not nearly as bad as all the clueless idiot LSU fans are think/assume.

You assume in the OP that the game will not be able to be played in Cola. It was not a what if question.
And you mouth breathers watching the weather channel are trying to tell me whats going on in the city I'm living in while I'm seeing and experiencing this thing first hand.
Yea I got frustrated.

Lets recap the thread:
-LSU fan says the game likely won't be played in USC, so asks for alternatives?
-USC fan asks for a link explaining why the game "likely won't be played in USC"
-LSU fans tell USC fan how streets are flooded, students evacuated, no running water, etc. because us LSU fans clearly know more about the situation than him
-USC fan says "whats funny is that this is the only place this topic is being discussed"
-LSU fans then begin correcting USC fan on how this situation is not funny in any way, and reminding him on the seriousness of the situation as if someone from South Carolina would not know this
-USC fan brings up how it sounds like LSU fans want the game to be moved to BR
-LSU fans lose their minds
-USC fan gets defensive
-LSU fans start telling the USC fan to stop being so angry and defensive despite pages of insults being thrown his way.
Admins need to clean up the SECrant. This topic should have been deleted once it became clear very little actual information would be posted.

If Fournette walks on water, like some on here seem to think he does, then LSU fans should hope to KEEP the game in Columbia....

I doubt it will need to be moved. I'm sitting in my office in downtown Columbia a mile from the campus. The city is pretty much shut down. I can hear constant sirens and helicopters.
This is not a Katrina situation. This was heavy, steady rain causing flooding, but there is no widespread wind damage, loss of housing, or power lines down. It was not a hurricane -- the wind hit maybe 10-15 mph. The vast majority of the photographs out there are from a handful of low lying subdivisions and intersections -- especially ones with lakes and creeks where small earthen dams washed away. Plus a few roadways washed away.
For instance, Laplace was under water and many places braithwaite looked like katrina. People being rescued in boats
Meanwhile places like New Orleans and Baton Rouge were none the wiser as they went relatively unscathed

since you live there and obviously know the answers to all these questions better than we do, can you please address the following:
1) availability of emergency services
2) infrastructure in the entire surrounding area
3) drinking water
4) sewage
5) hotel availability for referees, players, coaches, media
6) overall safety of all areas
this isn't just an issue that can be viewed as simply as "well the roads by the stadium aren't underwater and I don't see standing water in WBS, so everything is clearly fine." you may live there, but i highly doubt you can speak to any of the issues above, and those are absolutely important in a situation such as this.
and just a little word to the wise, repeatedly calling someone a "mouth breather" doesn't make your argument or comments any more valid or sound. stop getting so defensive

I'm not sure about 1 but 2-6 should be fine by Saturday
I know. Which is why I've said they might play it in an empty stadium

this is just as baseless a claim as anything LSU fans have brought up

But according to posters in this thread the entire campus was evacuated?

well there have been local news reports that 5 hospitals may possibly be evacuated due to lack of water. that's actually a hell of a lot bigger deal than whether or not USC students are evacuated

They do not lack water they lack water pressure and the concern was last night. The fire department has been pumping water in so they are fine.

Sewage was never an issue, water is already coming back and I haven't heard anything about flooding or closed roads in the area.

no...it was reported that they will be evacuated. not that they have been.

I wouldn't say fire trucks manually transporting water across the city to hospitals means "they're fine." the governor of south carolina literally made a statement like two hours ago that the danger is not over yet, regardless of the fact that the rain is backing off
