LSU turnd down Petrino. They targeted Miles and got him. LSU was impressed with what he did at Okie State. He gave LSU fits recruiting in Texas against Saban and LSU.
Arky is surrounded by strong football schools with far superior recruiting bases than them which causes coaches to think long and hard about coaching there.
With the exception of Wilson,Arky's roster is not as talented and deep as OU,LSU,Bama,Tenner,UF or Georgia. Aggies are young but much more talented than the Hogs.
Arky can't pay any more for a coach than any SEC teams except Miss schools and Vandy.

Strong has done well recruiting at the UL because of his connections to Fla high school programs he has recruited for over 25 yrs...might be slightly tougher getting some of them to Ark....but even a half dozen could make a difference. At lkeast the grades wouldnt be a deal killer
Arkie needs to be tougher and run the ball...need beef on both lines. Want to see an equalizer in the west so Bama and LSU dont always have the most chips at the table.
