I know it doesn't reach the height of Alabama in 2000, UT in 2005, or LSU in 1998 since those were pre-season top 5 teams, but the State team in 2001 was a huge disappointment. We returned everyone except for Smoot from 2000 and were expected by most analysts to win the West and play Florida in Atlanta. We went 3-8 and the only bright spot was beating Ole Miss at home.

2000 Bama was truely one of the worst ever seasons I can remember, but if the 2008 LSU season is not listed somewhere up there, then something is wrong.
I was the worst season following a NC in over 60 years! Almost an impossible failure.

2007 Florida 9-4 after a NC in 2006!
Have to be one of the epic failures next to LSU's 8-5 season last year.
Except LSU won a bowl game and Michigan beat Florida in the bowl game.
See how similar their seasons were?

to be fair we had 2 retards running our d and we had no qb.

LSU lost their starting QB and their Defensive Coordinator.
I didn't know "excuses" were being factored in. Sorry. Thought it was about the results only.

How can you not comprehend this? They lost their entire defense and they actual played somebody OOC (FSU).
Comparing 2006 UF and 2008 LSU is retarded.

Allowing your disdain for one school to cause you to be illogical and irrational is even worse.
There is a one game difference between Florida and LSU with only one of them taking a piece of hardware home in those years (LSU). Yet, you found a way justify why Florida gets a pass and LSU doesn't.
I comprehend that. Carry on!

I vote for Bama 2007 team that went 6-6.
After losing at home to LSU, they folded up shop on the season and proceed to Lose 4 in a row to close the season. Including an OOC game to ULM at home!
Can't forget the impressive sqeaker in the Independence Bowl against powerful Colorado 30-24.
